The existing 2-acre lake and dam system required significant expansion and safety improvements to support a luxury lakeside residential development. The aging infrastructure was inadequate for the planned 12-acre water feature and posed erosion and drainage risks.
Solutions
Performed major upgrades including:
- Construction of a 15-foot-high earthen dam with a sand filter on the downstream side
- Installation of a 24-inch RCP pipe drain and a 12-inch gate valve
- Fabrication and placement of a precast concrete riser structure
- Construction of an articulated concrete block emergency spillway
These improvements ensured the lake met modern dam safety standards and increased the storage capacity by 500%.
